Quartz and aragonite - Mine à Giraud, Isère, France

Group of translucent quartz in excellent condition, mostly covered with shiny beige microcrystals of calcite, on which have developed very nice little clusters of white aragonite with a silky shine.

A treat to observe with a magnifying glass!

This specimen comes from the Giraud mine, close to the famous La Gardette mine, known worldwide for its gold and especially the quality of its quartz. This type of piece is very unusual and therefore extremely rare on the market!
