Azurite psm tetrahedrite - Mine à Giraud (La Gardette), Isère,...
Exceptional specimen composed of a grouping of well shaped...
Exceptional piece composed of several very well formed tetrahedrite crystals, pseudomorphosed (or even perimorphosed) in azurite of a superb blue. The main crystal measures 1.8 cm. A 2,3 cm long biterminated quartz, translucent and partially covered with iron oxides, overhangs the whole, thus making think of a character brandishing his sword!
This piece comes from the Giraud mine, close to the famous La Gardette mine, known worldwide for its gold and especially the quality of its quartz. The combination of tetrahedrite and azurite is very unusual and therefore extremely rare on the market.
