Fluorite - Cave-in-Rock, Illinois, USA

Translucent dark blue fluorite with a purple ghost (colors visible especially in backlight). The color can be also only violet according to the type of lighting (here it is a white light, the blue of the fluorite disappears when the light is yellow). Some small calcite crystals are present on the surface. A good example of this classic American deposit, now closed.
