Cristallized gold on quartz - Aouint Ighoumane, Guelmim-Oued Noun region, Morocco

Native gold crystallized in flattened octahedrons and showing the spinel twin, on quartz.

The "feather", with a curved end, has a total length of about 2.2 cm.

Some white quartz relics are present between the crystals. Another small gold crystal is present in the quartz at the back of the piece.
A very attractive specimen from the 2020-2021 discovery in Morocco.
