Pyrite pseudomorph in limonite - Farafa Oasis, White Desert, Egypt
A very attractive specimen consisting of a pyrite crystal entirely pseudomorphosed into limonite, which is blackish-brown in color and has a velvety appearance. The pseudomorphosis has faithfully preserved the pseudocubic shape of the pyrite.
