Fluorite and hematite - South Face of Les Droites, Mont Blanc, France
Numerous small octahedrons, with a lovely violet color, are set against an albite matrix, accompanied by a few hematite lamellae.

Highlights of this specimen:
The fluorite octahedrons are in very good condition, and the violet color is distinctly vivid compared to other specimens we have handled.
- The subtle presence of a few small epidotes.

- Discovered at an altitude of 3,800 m on the south face of the summit of Les Droites in the Mont Blanc massif.
