Golden-coloured rutile crystals (titanium dioxide) formed by epitaxial growth around hematite.

2.4 x 2 x 0.7 cm

Highlights of this specimen:

- Here, the rutile and hematite have a beautiful lustre (which is not always the case)
- There is a tiny amount of hyalite opal at the base of the specimen (impossible to photograph properly)

For your information:

- This specimen comes from a find of several high-quality specimens in early 2022.
