Vesuvianite - Sierra de Cruces, Coahuila, Mexico
Small group of green vesuvianites with well-formed crystals and shiny surfaces. Main crystal 1.7 x 1.5 cm. Accompanied by an old label from the “La croisette de Bretagne” store in Scaër (29) giving the simple provenance as “Chihuahua, Mexico”, but Sierra de Cruces in the neighboring state of Coahuila is a more likely origin.
