Fluorite and quartz - Pratclaux, Haute-Loire, France

Let's not dwell on the unfortunate small damages present on the two main fluorite cubes, but rather on all the particularities of this piece:

Fluorite is above all colorless and transparent, revealing the underlying quartz crystals inside the main cube.

The arrangement of these fluorite cubes and the orientation of the quartz needles are not insignificant: they follow the faces of two juxtaposed octahedrons. It's easy to see that this piece is a recrystallized piece of cleavage from a larger green fluorite crystal with a violet heart.
