Fluorite - Fontsante mine, Var, France
Colorless to slightly water-green polysynthetic fluorite, shiny, translucent, and with truncated edges. The orange color in some places is given by underlying iron oxides. Some small bright quartz are also present. Piece of a previous collection, from the former large mine of Fontsante in the Var, which produced a great variety of fluorites, both in shape and color.
