Calcite and quartz - Dalnegorsk mining region, Primorsky Krai, Russia
Old piece composed essentially of a large calcite crystal (7 x 6 cm) in petal, brilliant, overhanging a small bouquet of milky to bluish-gray quartz needles at the top. The quartz are also shiny and have the particularity to be microcrystallized along the prism m. A singular piece as much by its global architecture as by its details, which reflects well the famous deposit of Dalnegorsk.
