Pink smithsonite - Tsumeb, Namibia
Rare pink smithsonite (cobalt-rich) in brilliant, almost rounded crystals due to the curvature of the edges, on a very dense metallic gray matrix rich in galena and other sulfides. The largest smithsonite crystal measures 6 mm in diameter. Old piece (the Tsumeb mine has been closed since the late 1990s).
