Hexagonal calcite - Ojuela mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
Colorless hexagonal calcite with relatively thick petals and shiny surfaces, from a recent discovery in the large Ojuela mine in Mexico. Presence of very bright gray/brown microcrystals agglomerated in spherules (smithsonite supposed, analysis to come). Some minor defects on this piece crystallized on both sides.
