Fluorite antozonite, calcite - Ojuela mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico

Fluorite is rare in this large Mexican mine, especially the "good" size pieces, well crystallized! Here, the deep purple cubes are mostly in very good condition and the surfaces are shiny. The fluorite, on a limonite gangue, has been freed from a white calcite encrustation of which some remains on the back, giving a pleasant contrast to the piece.
