Scheelite and calcite on muscovite - Xuebaoding Mts, Pingwu, Sichuan Prov., China
Scheelite crystal with a 2.5 cm edge and two tops: one of them, opaque, is very slightly damaged, while the second, gem quality, is perfectly intact. A naturally recrystallized and thus consolidated crack is present at the base of the crystal. Witnesses of this recrystallization: small terminations of scheelite visible at the base of the crystal with a magnifying glass. Very nice reaction of scheelite to short Uvs. Grey muscovite and white calcite accompany it.
