Blue fluorite - Chavaniac-Lafayette, Haute-Loire, France

Old specimen of blue fluorite accompanied by quartz and pyrite. The surface is matt and the piece shows some damages but its interest lies in its beautiful blue color highlighted also in backlighting, the size of the cubes (7.5 cm for the main crystal) and its age since it comes from the Sausses mine in Chavaniac-Lafayette, closed in 1979.
