Staurotide twinned crystals in Maltese cross on a micaschist matrix. Three other staurotide crystals are present on the same piece, two on the back._x000D_ Staurotides on matrix are rarer than the isolated crystals because of the ease of erosion of the micaschist compared to the hardness of the staurotide.
