A lovely piece of celestine from Montalieu, in the Isère department, featuring a small natural cavity entirely lined with crystals.

The celestine crystals are numerous, brilliant, and exceptionally well-crystallized, with beautiful faces and clearly visible terminations. They range in color from colorless to very pale blue, with some crystals exhibiting beautiful transparency.

- Located in northern Isère, in the heart of the Isle Crémieu plateau, the Montalieu-Vercieu region is renowned for its Jurassic limestone quarries and the mineral deposits discovered there. Celestine is among the mineral species known from this area, with crystallizations that can exhibit delicate bluish hues.
