This group of quartz crystals from Ganesh Himal in Nepal displays a beautiful natural structure, with a particularly well-developed main crystal that is perfectly clear in its central section.
Its lustrous surfaces are sporadically speckled with chlorite, creating a subtle contrast between the transparency of the quartz and the greenish hues of the inclusions.
The tip shows a growth scar interrupted by a lamellar-shaped mineralized object, which is no longer present. The base is naturally scarred. The specimen is in perfect condition.

      7 × 7 × 7 cm.

      Highlights of this specimen:

      - A particularly well-proportioned and aesthetically pleasing quartz cluster.
      - The main crystal is remarkable for its great clarity and the absence of inclusions in its core.
      - Highly lustrous surfaces that produce numerous reflections.

      For your information:

Ganesh Himal is a mountain range in the High Himalayas located in north-central Nepal. Its main peak, Yangra (Ganesh I), rises to an elevation of over 7,400 meters. The range takes its name from the elephant-headed Hindu god Ganesh, as the silhouette of its peaks resembles the form of this deity.

The Ganesh Himal region has yielded quartz crystals, some entirely chlorite-bearing, others exhibiting remarkable transparency and associations with albite, adularia, titanite, or other minerals typical of alpine fissures.

The quartz from Ganesh Himal comes from high-mountain areas in a Himalayan environment that is particularly difficult to access, making the extraction and transport of specimens especially challenging. The best-known mines are those at Lapa and Tipling, but thousands of others exist in the area, located at altitudes ranging from 1,500 to 4,900 meters; the highest mines produce the clearest quartz.
