Pink Fluorite - Aiguille du Moine, Haute-Savoie, France

A pink fluorite crystal, well-defined and exhibiting remarkable octahedral morphology. Its salmon-pink to orange-pink color is particularly warm and uniform, with more translucent areas that lend depth to the crystal.

The crystal faces are well-developed, and some exhibit a beautiful luster, while others display a slightly frosted texture, creating an interesting contrast between the different surfaces. The geometry of the octahedron is particularly aesthetically pleasing, with clearly defined edges and a sharp termination.

Some faces feature small triangular patterns, evidence of natural dissolution processes that have affected the crystal’s surface. These geometric patterns, linked to the crystalline structure of fluorite, further enhance the specimen’s aesthetic and mineralogical appeal.
