Smoky Quartz - Mont Blanc Massif, Haute-Savoie, France

A smoky quartz crystal with beautiful transparency and a pleasant, uniform cognac-brown hue. The crystal is well-formed and naturally lustrous.
The specimen is accompanied by a gemstone cut from Alpine quartz of a similar color, illustrating the gem-quality of these Alpine smoky quartzes.

The natural smoky quartz comes from the Aiguille de l’Éboulement in the Mont Blanc Massif and measures 3.4 x 1.5 x 1.4 cm.
The pear-shaped smoky quartz comes from the Mont Blanc Massif and measures 1 x 0.7 cm.
