The Erupción Mine, located in the Los Lamentos Mountains in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico, is a classic locality in global mineralogy for wulfenite. Crystals from this locality are particularly well known for their tabular shapes, which can range from very thin crystals to much thicker and more robust specimens. The color varies notably from yellow-orange to caramel brown, with some specimens being particularly lustrous.
