Fully crystallised (floating) specimen consisting of quartz whose dark colour appears to be due to the slightly green base (probably chlorites) and red inclusions (haematite?).

Highlights of this piece:

-Some calcite is present on the back.
- Extremely shiny faces.

Points to note:

- A few minor flaws.
- From an old collection, this quartz was extracted from the Jan Coetzee copper mine in South Africa, which closed in 1971.
