Azurite on tetrahedrite - Mine à Giraud (La Gardette), Isère,...
Exceptional specimen composed of a grouping of well-shaped...
A group of small tetrahedrite crystals (up to 6 mm for the largest visible crystal) probably pseudomorphosed into limonite (considering the lightness of the piece) then covered with azurite and even malachite. This piece comes from the Giraud mine, close to the famous La Gardette mine, known worldwide for its gold and especially the quality of its quartz. This pseudomorphosis is very uncommon and therefore extremely rare on the market.
